Peter Krajnik
Peter Krajnik obtained his tenure at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2008 after earning his Engineering (2001) and Ph.D. (2007) degrees in Mechanical Engineering. While pursuing his graduate studies, he worked as a visiting researcher at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. In 2009, he became a Marie Skłodowska-Curie post-doctoral fellow at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. He spent time researching in the automotive industry, developing innovative technologies for powertrain production at Scania CV AB (Volkswagen Group). In 2015, he joined Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, where he currently serves as a Professor of Manufacturing Technology and the Director of Chalmers Centre for Metal Cutting Research (MCR). Prof. Krajnik has authored over 130 publications and 5 patents/patent applications. He is an Associate Member of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP).
