Manifestly Lorentz covariant string theories in D=10 and D=18

String models with both bosonic and fermionic variables in 10 and 18 space-time dimensions are examined at the non-interacting level. Both theories contain as open string ground states the N=2, D=10 non-chiral supergravity multiplet.
